Volunteer with us

Do you want to join our fight to reduce male suicide ??

Make a difference

Man Down UK is looking for compassionate individuals to help facilitate our peer support meetings. By volunteering your time, you’ll play a vital role in supporting men who are struggling with their mental health, providing a safe space for them to open up and be heard.

If you’re passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and have the qualities we’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

What we are looking for

To join our team, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Be male and over the age of 25: This ensures relatability and maturity for our group members.
  2. Lived experience of poor mental health: Your personal understanding makes a significant difference in connecting with and supporting others.
  3. In a good emotional place right now: Being stable emotionally helps you provide the best support to others.
  4. Empathetic and non-judgemental: Compassion, patience, and a judgement-free attitude are at the heart of what we do.
  5. Able to spare 2 hours every fortnight: A small commitment that makes a huge impact.
  6. Willing to undertake training funded by Man Down: We’ll provide all the resources and guidance you
need to succeed.
